Our Very Own Personal Train ride....
The morning we were leaving...Uncle James gave the kids one of the greatest surprises! A train ride all to themselves. A friend has a public train ride that goes all throughout his property. He purchased most of the parts from the San Diego zoo, as well as had some passed down from his family and he built much of it too. It took him 7 years to make it what it is today. It was so exciting to have the train all to themselves!!! what an experience it was.

The kids waiting for the conductor so they can get train tickets... Tavie, Ro, Raelin, Magus, Genavieve and Joe
Our "conductor." He was so patient, informative and passionate about trains. He loved talking to the kids and answering all the questions they had...and they had a lot!!!
Our view. The lil train took us around this bend, which is the longest bend for a train of its size in USA!
Here is a side view of some of the property we rode the train through. It was such a beautiful day. We saw so many animals, and insects!
Here is the inside of the stop lights. Magus took this picture because he is very fascinated with how things work. This is where you stick oil that lasts for 4 days. Back in the day a guy would go around every 4 days to every light and fill up the lights with oil.
Here is what the light looks like. Without the oil buring in it, it looks like its red and blue. But when you add the flame inside the light, which is yellow, it creates green for the conductors to see. Yellow + Blue = Green. So you get a green and red light. Magus loved this so much!
Here is Rae, so excited she got to be on the train!
