The seasons are a changin'....

The kids had some fun creating there own idea of what a "Autumn Leaf" looks like. They also decided that because the "stores" have Halloween stuff, they wanted to start decorating our home with Halloween stuff. Im good with that, since I love Halloween.

So Focused for learning...

Our Tribal Adventurer is quickly advancing while learning letters, numbers, shapes as well as other life skills. He had lots of fun working with his brother and spending quality time (about 1 hour) working in the school books. Our Tribal Faerie decided to do a bit of work, and then clean up after she was done.

Caught in the Act of Cleaning...

Our lil Tribal Faerie loves to clean. Here she is caught in the act of cleaning the table. She is so helpful...even though most of the time 38% of the mess is hers. :)

Just because my babies are too cute...

Fun in the Sun....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BIG BOY !!!!!

Magus' 4th Birthday party was celebrated at Nani's house outside by the pool. It was lots of fun and we hope that everyone enjoyed themselves.

Here are some pics from the party. One of Magus, who was sitting quietly in the sun enjoying some candy and watching everyone swim!

Here is Magus so excited that Mommy made Magus a "special" blue cupcake. I love his smile! This was the first time we had a birthday party for one of the kids. We were so happy that his friends came to enjoy the day with him. And we thank all of them, especially the parents because they had to sit in the sun and watch the kids play in the cool water. So thank you everyone! We really appreciate you coming.
And a big EXTRA THANKS to my mom and dad for doing so much with the party and allowing us to have it in your beautiful home.

Welcome to the USA!!!!

Our exchange students have arrived. They are such a pleasure to have in our home. So different, but yet both with good hearts, smart minds and good intentions. The kids love them and we are really happy to share with them and learn as well.

MiMi, who is from Vietnam is going to be a senior in high school. She is studying to be a doctor...and I know she will be a great doctor. She comes from a very supportive family and has one older sister who is studying in the US as well. She has fit right along with our family already and we hope for more than the best while she is here in America. She is eager to learn about American lifestyles our country. We love it that she will get to experience Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, the kids birthdays, New Years, Yamaya's birth, Easter, and so forth. She has already experienced so many new things just in this short time. My favorite is she had her first taste of apple juice here in our home! Such a treat.

Curly...is from Denmark. She is going to be a sophmore in high school this year. She has a great family who was trusting enough to allow her to stay with us. She has an older sister and younger brother who misses her very much. She is fun to be around, talk with and we love learning about her country as well as sharing with her. Magus calls her "beautiful" because she shines like an angel. She is our long winged-traveler, in which I know she will go far. She has traveled many places and Cali is just another experience that is going to make her an even stronger woman. In Denmark they do celebrate most of our holidays, but this will be her full-on American experience. We hope that her expectations will be met and that she will enjoy every moment that she shares with us.

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY MAGUS!!!!

August 28th...Our Leader of the Young...our oldest son turned 4 !!!! He wanted a Superman cake made with JellyBeans (his fav) and his favorite dinner, Teriyaki chicken with rice and some broccoli. His birthday was on Thursday and we celebrated with friends on Sunday. Our dinner was very nice and Trang and Clara were there to enjoy in the festivities....
