A little blast from the past...the beach.

Here is a video of Jellybeans and Magus at the beach. They were so intrigued by the way the water came so close to them and when it went away it made the beach look smooth.
Magus running and laughing while Jellybeans became oh too familiar with the water, is a classic moment for mommy. Its was priceless :)

Never Forgotten....

Baby Yemaya is 8 months...

Standing up by herself...and taking her first steps are just a few accomplishments Maya has made. She loves taking baths, and loves putting lotion on. loves to play barbies with her sisters and love to play chase with her brothers (but she crawls). She is trying so hard to walk so that she can join her siblings.
And she loves loves loves to dance!!!

The Birthday funnies....

Genavieve caught in the act eating all the left over cake stuff... so she said, "I climbed up here to help you mommy"... yeah, that is why her mouth was black from all the frosting and cake she was eating with her finger.

First Day of Kindergarten !!!!

This is Magus' first day of kindergarten! He was so happy to be f-i-n-a-l-l-y going! Genavieve was ever so excited too...
so she woke up really early that morning to wish him a great day!
He is going to a great school and he has a great teacher. He is so trilled that they get to "play and eat snack and go to the park" all day!

August 28th....
Magus' 5th Birthday!
He has grown into such a strong lil gentleman. He is polite around adults, likes to open doors for others, love to teach his siblings, loves to read and write stories. He loves loves to play video games and is so much better than I am...it still amazes me (and I'm not that bad). He loves his family and protects them to the fullest. He finds strength in praying. Calls his littlest sister Yemaya, "Superbaby" and loves to teach her to walk. He is diplomatic and humble. Loves the color blue, crossword puzzles, and hanging out with his daddy.
Is a great eater and has a new love for crabcakes :)
He is a fighter, doesnt like to give up,
loves a challenge and loves to discover how things are made and what is the purpose. These are just a few of the things that Magus' has added to "HIM" over the year.
I am so proud of my lil man. Happy Birthday !!!

Our lil family tradition... I put "treasure," as they call it, in the cake so that when it gets cut, the money sticks out and we have to get it out.
Now because it was just us (which is still a lot of us) I let the kids...

Use the hands, fingers...whatever needed to get it out...
and eat the cake however they wanted! They loved it!
