Art we colorful ???
What a difference some color makes. We always put the kids artwork or recent projects up in the atrium area of the house. The kids love it and they are so proud. My laundry room is filled with all of there drawings too...its my "Wall of Fame" as we call it.
What an artful summer we are going to have!!!
We are Art Crazie....all the time!
Tavie has become so patient with her painting. She even tried to see how it tastes, but she didnt quite care for it. There is a small amount on her lips that kept bothering her. I didnt wipe it off, cause I wanted her to realize paint ISNT for the mouth...only for the paper.
Ro loves to paint. He is very perticular when it comes to painting. He is very patient too. He makes painting look so relaxing...which it is. He must get it from his momma!
Genavieve loves to paint. She loves to paint and be very clean about it too. Her colors are always purple, pink and "very little of everything else" she says. She is always the last one at the table too.
My crew and lil Yemaya trying to get in on theaction after waking up from a short nap.
My lil Fishies....
My daring butterfly. We are so proud of Tavie...she is such a great swimmer. She has no fear of the water, yet shows that she is aware of her boundaries.
Our speedie Neferius...he is a very fast swimmer.Gets from one side of the pool to the other in a blink of an eye.
Magus has learned to go under the water and swim without holding his nose. He has been practicing for a few days now, and has accomplished exactly what he set out to do. He also loves to jump in and do "CANNONBALL!"

These two would not get off the water totter.
Daddy was holding them, but they had so much fun going up in the air.

Michael Jackson...

I had to post a lil something about the passing of Michael Jackson. Im not big on celebrities and the passing of one...but MJ is a bit different. He was apart of so many good childhood memories. I remember being so young, riding my bike and hearing his music. My neighbor across the street used to love him. One day we wrote all over her door (her dad said we could because they were replacing the doors) every one of our favorite Michael Jackson songs.
From the Jackson 5 to Dont stop till you get enough, PYT to Thriller to Man in the Mirror... I loved that I was apart of a time where MJ was respected and honored. He difused color lines and people listen to his music because he always delivered good music. Not because it was "black music" or "white music"...just good music.
He is now gone and a piece of America is as well. He is truly missed... may God pour strength into his little ones and send angels to watch over them.
RIP Michael Jackson.

My lil Yemaya...5 months old....
Calesia...
She is so full of life, elegance and grace. The tribe calls her Maya. She so badly wants to walk and play with them, and we all know that she will be running just like the rest before we realize it.
Her brothers and sisters sit around her and play with her...she is spoiled with love and attention...just like she should have.
Her first word was (just like all the spawns) "dada." She loves to play with her dadda, and watch his every move.
She is inquisitive and very gentle....knows just how hard to pull your hair before it hurts :) and has yet to pull apart my necklace.
Her laughter can light up our house and change any mood of any person. Her eyes...oh her eyes...they say it all.
We are so thankful that we have been blessed with all of our children. I am so thankful to have a loving husband and a wonderful father to my children...whom them proudly call "daddy."
She is our maiden. She truly is Yemaya.
Part 2: The Race Track...
Genavieve waiting patiently for her brothers to get on the race cars. She was dealing with the fact that she was too young to ride very well. Running is her thing anyway...although she really wanted to ride the cars with daddy.
The boys had a great time...and cant wait to "drive all by myself."
The Tribe so excited!!!
Here they go!!!
Turn 1... Ro in the red car....
Turn 2...Magus in the blue car...
A lil treat from Daddy....
This was the funniest thing ever. My boys love to pick me flowers...well so do the girls too. But Ro thought that the "california poppies" were so bright and looked like orange flying saucers...he had to pick me one...or two, three, and four. It was so innocent. I explained to him about the "rules" of picking state flowers...so he whispered, "Here Mommy, I picked you some flowers." so cute!!!
Daddy bought the boys some remote control trucks. The boys thought it would be funny to run both sisters over with it. So the girls were running (and screaming) as fast as they could to get away. It was a long game that made a quiet ride home :)

Time with Daddy...Part 1
All of us took a great hike through the magical forest. The tribe hadnt been to this part of the forest before and didnt know what was at the end of the trail...it was very interesting to hear the guessing they ALL had....very interesting conversation.
Magus trying to find a "better" way.
Here is the end of our journey. The air was fresh, trees of all shades of green, and water that the kids got to enjoy. It def was an adventure.

The tribe was so fascinated that this huge body of water had lil baby tadpoles. It was so much fun to see them excited about tadpoles turning into frogs. They also loved that they could pick up rocks and throw them (unlike in the pool or bathtub).
Maya wasnt about to get in that water...but she had fun eating snacks n hanging out with daddy. She wore his hat to keep the sun out of her face.
We had a great time and it was a perfect day to appreciate where we live and how wonderful the trees are too us.... daddy did a great job!!! we love him too!
