We had the surprise party at a club house that looked over the lake. Down below on the dock...everyone...literally everyone caught a fish!
The traditional roasted pig that the tribe thought was so cool!

fam...Brooke and Makenna...

Auntie Jo and Nani...(sisters)
Magus and his cousin Chad! they had so much fun! water balloons were perfect for them to cause enough damage to cause just a bit of attention.

Nani and Lola. She had no idea all of us came to San Diego. Her face was priceless!
tribal momma with Maya and Genavieve...
Ro and his cousin Logan... lookin for something to get into!
The pool table looked perfect!

Here are the dancers. They performed traditional Samoan dances and a few others with a funky twist to it. They are friends of our family and gave my grandma a performance just for her bday! She loved it and had a great time!

Our trip to San Diego was fun for the tribe. We drove down and made it back safely without any problems. There were 15 of us in the van but it was lots of fun for the tribe to experience a road trip that far. (we also wont be doing that again anytime soon :)
We got to meet family members that we have never met before and some that we havent seen in years!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOLA!!!

ROAD TRIP: Destination...San Diego Chu Chu Train!!!

Our Very Own Personal Train ride....
The morning we were leaving...Uncle James gave the kids one of the greatest surprises! A train ride all to themselves. A friend has a public train ride that goes all throughout his property. He purchased most of the parts from the San Diego zoo, as well as had some passed down from his family and he built much of it too. It took him 7 years to make it what it is today. It was so exciting to have the train all to themselves!!! what an experience it was.
Genavieve and Tavi learning about railroad signs...
The kids waiting for the conductor so they can get train tickets...
Tavie, Ro, Raelin, Magus, Genavieve and Joe
Getting tickets to ride the train...the kids really enjoyed this part.

Our "conductor." He was so patient, informative and passionate about trains. He loved talking to the kids and answering all the questions they had...and they had a lot!!!

Our view. The lil train took us around this bend, which is the longest bend for a train of its size in USA!
Here is a side view of some of the property we rode the train through. It was such a beautiful day. We saw so many animals, and insects!

Here is the inside of the stop lights. Magus took this picture because he is very fascinated with how things work. This is where you stick oil that lasts for 4 days. Back in the day a guy would go around every 4 days to every light and fill up the lights with oil.

Magus on the caboose! The kids got to go into the caboose and climb to the top window to take pictures. (i ran outta battery)

ROAD TRIP: Destination = San Diego

This is the tribes first "dog" experience. Most of the dogs we have encountered have been really mean and really dirty. This one wasnt. Although the kids only spent a little bit of time, they loved the idea of seeing a dog...and calling her "Mudd" (which was the dogs name). This was one of the best parts of the trip for the kids.
And the "boys" letting us know which way the beach was :)
Ro, Isiah, Devin, Magus, Nanu (keanu) and Bo.
Tulani, Nanu and baby Maya. Maya loved her uncle nanu.
Tavi eating some good ole filipino home cookin!!! boy do we miss it!!!!

Baby Yemaya is 7 months old now.
She is such a fun baby. The kids love to play with her and really try to include her in ALL there activities. She is crawling so fast and already stands up by herself. She loves to eat and loves loves loves to participate in prayer before meals (its the cutest thing ever).
She tries to steal the tribes chocolate milk...but has yet to master
it without them giving in.

Lola came to visit us from San Diego. Every year for 5 years she has been coming to visit and every year there is a new great grandchild. She makes the best food and watches the weirdest filipino shows that the kids love!

He Came...He Saw....He conquered....

Magus is officially a SWIMMER!!! His goal this summer was to swim without using any floaties, as well as swim underwater. HE DID IT!
We were so proud of him...as he is of himself!

Good job lil man!

Let the festivities begin...

This career might be very promising in his future.
Magus is really good at baseball... :) Do I hear "pro-baller?"
Gettin cRaZY over cotton candy! oh did they love it!

Our trip to the local festival in the park was good.
The kids got to try out lots of new things...but most importantly they got to have COTTON CANDY!
